Yes, We Service Salt Water Pools

Salt and chlorine pools are both part of our standard weekly service. The chemistry runs a little differently. The care, the consistency, and the response times stay the same.

Salt Pools Are Still Chlorine Pools

A salt water pool isn’t chlorine-free. Your salt cell generates chlorine through electrolysis, so the same chemistry rules apply. Free chlorine, combined chlorine, pH, alkalinity, stabilizer, and calcium hardness all need to be in balance.

What changes is where you watch most carefully:

  • Salt pools push pH upward over time, so we add acid more often than in a traditional chlorine pool.
  • Stabilizer (CYA) gets checked closely, because low CYA reduces the effectiveness of every chlorine ion your cell produces.
  • Salt readings get verified, not assumed.

It’s the same weekly service with a different list of things to watch.

The Salt Cell Is the Heart of the System

Salt cells wear out. They scale up with calcium, and their chlorine output drops off well before they fully quit. By the time the water starts looking off, the cell has usually been underperforming for weeks.

On weekly visits, our techs:

  • Check cell output against current salt readings
  • Watch for calcium scaling
  • Flag cells trending toward end-of-life

When a cell needs cleaning or replacement, the same tech who’s been on your equipment for months is the one who diagnoses it.

Salt and Cell Monitoring

We verify salt levels, watch cell output, and flag scaling or production drops before they turn into water problems.

Chemistry Balance

pH, alkalinity, stabilizer, and chlorine all stay in range. Salt pools drift differently than chlorine, and we adjust accordingly.

Full Standard Service

Skim, brush, vacuum, empty baskets, clear the robotic cleaner. Same routine as a chlorine pool with salt-specific chemistry mixed in.

Catching Salt Equipment Before It Fails

When a salt cell fails, a control board goes out, or a pump starts complaining, you’re already on our route, and repairs run on the same fast cadence we keep for everything else.

That timeline matters more in a salt system than people realize. A cell that stops producing chlorine doesn’t announce itself. By the time the water turns, you’re looking at a recovery, not a quick fix.

FAQ for Salt Pool Service

No. Salt and chlorine pools are priced the same way, based on size, equipment, and condition. Send us a few photos and we’ll get back to you the same day.

It depends on run time, water chemistry, and how well the cell has been maintained. Most cells last up to seven years. Because we’re watching output weekly, you’ll know replacement is coming before it catches you off-guard.

Often, yes. Sometimes a cell just needs a thorough acid bath to clear calcium scaling. Sometimes the control board is the actual issue. Sometimes the cell itself is at the end of its life. We’ll diagnose it and tell you honestly which one it is.

A vetted, background-checked tech you’ll come to know. The same person, every week, on your equipment.

Salt additions are part of regular weekly service when levels are running low. We’ll let you know what’s needed and handle it on the visit.
